There is a fundamental disconnect between how UV disinfection is tested in the lab and how it performs in real healthcare environments.
In controlled studies, we often see a single organism on a Petri dish, placed close to a device in direct line of sight.
In reality, we are trying to disinfect hundreds of surfaces, at varying distances, with complex geometries and significant shadowing.
Assuming these two scenarios are comparable is simply not reflective of clinical practice.
